Hi, I have a Macbook and I need to use a dongle for internet access as the place where I will be has no wireless internet.
So I think it will be am o2 dongle.
Anyway are there any problems with using dongle with a macbook? As in, will I have to down load something first to be able to use it or??

I remember trying to use a vodafone dongle before and I didn't have any success; it was years ago though on a different Macbook - can't remember why now though.

So, can someone advise this macbook dongle virgin?

    thanks in advance..

Once there are OS X drivers for the dongle you should be OK.

Most should be okay. Just check that they are Mac compatible and work with the latest version of OS X.

No, just check that the dongle is compatible with the latest version or the version you are using.

Most dongles now have the software installed on them

When you plug in the dongle, it will launch the install file and you tell it you have a mac

I have used bot VF, O2 and e-mobile on my mac book without out any issues except that the networks were crap and could not get decent speeds.

I also bought a Dovado 3G router, plugged dongle into it. It then took that 3G and allowed me to access it via Wireless

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.
