    Hi all.
Im moving into a new house, getting a new bathroom installed and want to get an enamel bath. The problem is that I can only see acrylic baths in all the showrooms/shops.

Is it possible to get new enamel/cast iron baths (are they the same thing?). It doesnt have to be a freestanding one, it can be built in, but I really don't like the acrylic types.

I have seen old ones offered for sale online, most are freestanding, and require re-enamelling, if this is the only way to get one, can anyone advise ballpark cost of re-enamelling? I have been told approx 250 euro, is this about right?

    Thanks
    Karrie

you can get new cast iron baths but you would be looking at decent money + shipping heres a good UK company that do them , im sure they would arrange transport and shipping etc if you rang them

I have done a few jobs where they re-enamel them etc and the re-enameling does come up perfect , but usuall people are lazy about painting the outside of them and feet properly etc.

Most people looking for a enameled bath go for a steel enameled bath, these you'll find available locally.
