Im selling my 98 toyota corolla, its in very good nick and serviced every 9,000 miles and nct until August but it has 160000 miles on it just wondering whether i should get it repaired fully or sell as is for a lower price. It needs new rear drop links and bushes and may also need new wheel bearings on one side. I would also have it serviced and get the timing belt done as its due in 8,000miles time.

How much would the above cost and would it be worth getting it done or selling it as it is?

If you get the work done keep the car,

Not much point in fixing it up and put yourself out of pocket to give sum 1 else a bargains, cant imagen the car been worth a fortune fixed up

Id love to keep it but ive bought a new car due to a longer commute to work so not much point leaving it sitting in the yard.

    Ahh, do the maths so.

What would you get for the car if repaired minus the repair cost?
What would you get if you sold as is?
Whichever is largest you go for. If it were me, and you particularly like the car, and it sounds like you do, I'd repair it and keep it going. Better the devil you know.

Sell it as is, the work it needs and the timing belt would cost almost what it's worth, as is you might get €500 for it.
