    She seems to be making real progress this year, winning her first tournament and going deep into others.

    Possibility of having a world-class female player in the future...?

    Absolutely --- looking at her record here is impressive - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Bowtell

    and only 18 ... so perhaps we will have a player in the slams in the future,
    would be great for irish tennis- still needs radical changes tho in it's policy..

    How do you mean changes? The big problem as I see it is the lack of government funding
