Fitted one last winter ,have a grant back boiler great to control draught and save on fuel and heat going up chimney, the only thing when you open door with damper out full you will get a puff of smoke other than that works great ,ibought mine for 320 euro see their gone up to over 500.

:)i have fitted a good few doors for people, the trick is to make it air tight.
but not all fire places can take the doras.

    great,great product.

Just wondering if Doras is suitable where there is one of those old little backboilers that just heat water without a coil on cylinder

Can you give more information as to why some cannot use the doras?

Is a stove not far more efficient?

Probably curved fireplaces or ones with corrugated finishes. I'd imagine its only suited to a flat surface but a good idea though
