Soundblaster xfi losing settings

    I've been having problems with my xfi elite pro the last few weeks I've had to setup it's setting a few times and this morning for the 2nd time this year I've got no sound at all. The no sound is cured by a quick reinstall of the drivers.

    Could there be any reason for this happening?

    I'm running win7 enterprise.

    Seems to be not uncommon, quite a few people complaing about the same issue with Creative xfi sound cards and no solution. They eventually fixed it by reinstalling Windows.

    Fix by reinstalling is a bit drastic :(

    I've had to reinstall once this week and again now, and lost setting a few times as well :mad: It seems to be getting worse!

    Maybe a reinstall is on the cards then even if this still runs as it did since the last time I reinstalled.
