    Hey all,

Bit of an urgent query here, mods feel free to move this topic if its not in the right place.

I am a mature student on back to education. I am entitled to have my tuition fees paid by CDVEC Ballsbridge. I had all documentation sent before the due date in August. On the 17th of January I got an email saying my cohabiting partner's p45 was missing along with other documentation. I have registered post proving I sent in documentation, unfortunately this only proves I sent in documentation, not what was sent in. I was also told that my partners p45 was insufficient documentation to prove his circumstances, and was asked to send in his p60.

I requested his p60 from the revenue, however this was sent to his previous abode and the current tenant can't find the letter that was sent out.

The closing date for all grant applications is this friday (2nd March). With the current revenue turnaround if I request a new p60 it will not arrive on time. I have all the bank statements for the relevant months to prove income, but I was told this would not be sufficient.

Can anyone please advise on what I can do as I am really not in a position to pay the fees. All help is appreciated.

Revenue doesn't issue P60s, the employer does.

Get your partner's employer to issue a letter setting out the information contained in the P60.

(I think, technically, an employer shouldn't issue a copy P60)

Unless your partner was employed on the 31st of December he wouldn't get a P60 from an employer. If he had ceased work before that date he would have been issued a P45. Have him go to his nearest Revenue public office where there can print a copy of his P45(s). This should suffice.
