Farmer comes clean on his DIY septic tank – a buried Cortina

February 16, 2012 - 7:30am Now South Connemara man is asking politicians to give him a dig-out

    By Declan Tierney
A Connemara householder is being driven to distraction over the ‘do it yourself’ septic tank that he installed in his home several years ago.
Local politicians’ jaws dropped when they were told by the farmer from South Connemara that his ‘septic tank’ constituted an old Ford Cortina that he buried in the ground several years ago.
Just about one of the most unusual things to use a dead car for!

I wonder how many people are removing dead bodies from septic tanks?

Bad and all as it sounds the end result may not be a hell of a lot worse than many of the afterthought septic tanks installed for many houses around the country, in particular one off builds.
