HELP PLEASE!! Repairing mini - need mechanic/garage

    Hi all,
    I really dont know who to go to with this query but my fiancée has a mini think its made in 1989 or 1990 and I would love to get it going properly as a surprise for him for our wedding!!
    I don't think that there is too much wrong with it, wiring and tuning it and maybe small cosmetic things. I really don't know where to go to look for a mechanic that will know about it.
    I'm in North West, can anyone give me some advise as where to find someone or recommendations??
