How many people sit this subject each year?

Is it difficult/is there a high pass rate?

I'd say about 30 people? Around that.

Yeah it's difficult. You'd have to do a decent amount of study apart from lectures, though obviously it depends on your general aptitude for stats. It's worth doing though, because if you want to do a postgrad in economics you'll have to do it anyway, and because it helps to understand papers with statistical results.
