A Clonmel based, widely circulated newspaper in South Tipperary is publishing ads urging people not to register or pay the Household Tax.

As this is effectively advocating householders to break the law sanctions should be taken against the Newspaper.

Sanctions against the newspaper? Better take down the socialist TDs then too and do away with the free press.

Is it actually breaking the law at this time - after all registering now is voluntary.

You don't have to register and pay until the last day of March and I wouldn't advise anyone to do so any earlier.

Interesting point, maybe advertising standards commission can clarify.
