    Story lads,

I'm here in oz since november working for a company that sponsored me through the 457 working visa and i've heard a rumour that i can get a lot of the tax im paying back this year and maybe the second year too.

Does anyone know anything about how much tax back im entitled to if any and how to go about claiming it?

    Any help is much appriciated.

Not really, more than likely your tax has not taken account the months you have not worked, since it is a self taxed system. I.e. you are more than likely being taxed based on a full year rather than 8months.

There is no special tax for 457 or even WHV.
