In what way is it gone?

Are you sure it is a 1.8 tdci? It is much more likely to be a 1.6 tdci in a C-max. It is also much more likely for a 1.6 tdci engine to be "gone" than a 1.8 tdci.

yes 1.8, think he said pump gone and the injectors and cheaper to throw an engine in it

Sounds like bull**** to me. The 02 Focus engine won't work anyway.

definately 1.8tdci he says, pump is knackered and injectors too think due to bad diesel, if the 02 engine wouldnt fit then the other newer engine would be expensive so this might be more trouble than its worth
