    Hi all,
My 2005 Pug stinks of oil inside. I had a leaking fuel injector seal, which has since been replaced. How does the smell of oil get into the car? How does the heating system function?

    regards

What sort of oily smell is it...diesel or engine oil..?
Are you sure another injector seal is'nt leaking..?

    Hi there,
I had a look at the injectors again and they all appear to be sound. It could be just old diesel but the way it gets into the cabin has me puzzled.

I know if injector seals leak past compression then there will be a fumey smell in the cabin.....normally this can be smelt when the car is stuck in traffic and engine running.
It could also be the top clamp on the exhaust side of the turbo thats leaking but this would normally cause soot in around the engine bay.

The best way to check if the injector seals are passing compression is to add washing up liquid into some water, mix and gently pour it around the base of each injector...if you see bubbles then that injector is leaking.
