Well it's release date is April 23rd in the UK.

Looks like a nice wee phone, similar to the original Galaxy S in specs. Hits mid range right on the head in terms of features and price.
Shame it doesn't have ICS on board (probably never will given the 512mb ram & Samsungs insistence on slapping touchwiz on top of everything).

As for getting picked up by Irish networks? Well given the success of the original Galaxy Ace and the recent adoption of the Ace Plus, i'd say it's highly likely. You're looking at waiting until at least May/June though.

Yea. I've been keeping an eye out for this phone too. Have a Galaxy Ace at the moment which I love, but just wish it had a little more on board storage and more RAM (can be a bit laggy at times, as I use it for facebook, twitter, email, web calendar etc. and it struggles a little with all these running together). So looks like the Ace 2 should cover those issues with 768Mb RAM and 4Gb onboard storage and dual processor. But have to say would love to have android ICS, so still undecided as whether to wait for Ace 2 (in the hope it gets ICS) or just go for galaxy SII
