Eddie Hobbs story in the Indo today?

Did anyone read the story "Hobbs rakes in fees while investors are hit by losses" about Eddie Hobbs' involvement in a property investment company that was the lead story on the Independent website this morning?

It said that Hobbs and other business people had paid themselves hundreds of thousands of euros in management fees in the last year while people who had been duped into investing in their property vehicle in the Cape Verde Islands and other places had lost about 1/3 of their investment to date.

The interesting part is that the story is now gone, and when I clicked on the link to it in my internet history I get a 404 - not found page. I posted a comment on the story at the time it was active that I thought it was very interesting that the Indo was now taking aim at Hobbs when normally they both would have been allies in the property investment "cheerleading" area.

Has Hobbs done something to anger the high-ups at Independent News & Media that they now think it is in the "public interest" to run a story on him and his investment buddies gobbling-up the money of people who threw it at them in a tent at the ploughing championships, as was said in the article? I am also surprised that a story like that could appear and then be taken down so quickly, Eddie must have Terry Prone and the rest on his speed-dial...

edit: just found this thread on askaboutmoney discussing it - http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?p=1245703

Very interesting! Somebody in the Indo must think that Hobbs side of the story has legs - if they pulled it!
