garda vetting for army/navy

    just thought id see if any one knows how long the garda vetting takes in army/navy as iv been told that i am 1 of 8 ppl that the garda vetting didnt come back for as iv went for the navy and got trough fitness test interview and medical and iv been told to send in a new garda vetting form in will it hurt my chances of gettng in any info would help thanks
