Well one Alfa owner went a bit too far

Alfa Romeo driver spun elebaorate web of deceit to cover up minor car-park accident
He swapped the number plate on his black sports car for one on an identical model which he also owned and re-registered it with the DVLA.

He unscrewed the Vehicle Identification Number plates in the boots of both cars and changed them and when he could not remove a second plate under the driver's seat he covered it with tar to hide it.

Then he forged papers to show that he had sold the offending car to a Polish man living in Bristol days before the accident after copying his name and address from a small ad in a local paper.

Everytime I see that Fr Ted car, it makes me all warm and fuzzy. Can you imagine the fun they had making that! Must have been the happiest couple of hours ever.

He behaved in a very strange way, drawing the curtains, hiding, and running away from the front door. On a third visit he was found hiding in the garden behind hedge trimmings.

Says it all really! What a plonker.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

It actually wasn't bad at all. The 1.3 was the Honda engine and the 1.6 the Rover (opposite of the later '90s model with the K-series). Sweet car for the time, know a few people had them growing up.

K series was well.well ahead of it's time for CC/BHP. Pity it ate headgaskets. Father had a high-spec 400 for a few years from nearly new.

All 1.4 models were Rover K4s in the 90s.

Up to 1994/1995 the 1.6s were Honda, from 1995 on they were 1.6Ks too except for auto versions which were still 1.6 Honda units :)

There were alot less Honda engines in Rovers than a great deal of folk think.
