Question About Aluminium

Hi,

I am considering getting new double/triple glazing and have gotten some quotes. All of the window companies seem to throw in the "bonus" of taking away my old windows for free. My old windows are single glazed aluminium ones.

I have 12 windows in my house, great big ones, a lot of them are 190cm X 110cm or around that size and all aluminium. My question is whether these lads might be selling the aluminium on or not and if so how much would they be getting for it? It's just something which has been bugging me.

Keep them and stick then up for sale on Adverts.ie for example

Stick them up on the free ad sites for a couple of hundred euro, always someone building a shed

Its the Aluminium which is of value.
In lots of the older estates where Alum windows are being replaced, you will see a White Hiace, watching to see who is getting new windows.
The fitters all have a deal going to sell the Alum, the frames will probably be damaged taking them out, so you will see the glass going in the skip, and the Alum going in the Hiace.

keep them and sell them great money for alu. but will be a bit of hassle getting rid but should easily pay for some of the new windows
