Madness (right?)

Someone (who shall remain nameless but lurks hereabouts) has just proposed doing the Virginia 300. I have done the Wicklow 200 but it was two years ago and there's been a fair bit of water under the bridge since then. More recently I've been limited to a couple of 30-45k single speed spins a week together with a 50-60k road bike spin at the weekends. The Virginia 300 is on in three weeks. Is it mad to even contemplate it?

Depends how much you like to suffer.

Happy enough with it - but only while cycling whereas this has weeks of recuperation written all over it.
