    hi,
has anyone used breakdown assistance when you have the car parked in short term airport car park?
i am going on a holiday with my car parked in short term car park.
i know my car battery is bit weak. i am not sure if it can hold up the power for 3 days.
can i call my road side recovery to help me out in case something goes wrong in the car park?
    any experiences?

I can't see why you couldn't, but your breakdown assistance company would be the one to ask.

There are big signs up in the car parks saying that if your car needs a battery boost to call the number and pay the fee.

    DAA Website http://www.dublinairport.com/gns/to-from-the-airport/car-parking/prebooking-faqs.aspx
What happens if my car won't start when I return?
A 24-hour vehicle assistance service operates in the car parks at Dublin Airport. The contact details are displayed on signs located throughout the car parks.

His/her own breakdown assistance would be free, though.

And might even be the same person. A friend had this issue, called their own provider and the guy named on the signs turned up. If their own had turned up, they had assumed they'd have to pay for a days parking to get access. Turned out all to be fine.

Just a thought so I came back here:

Why don't you get the battery sorted? You could break down on a Motorway someday and that can be very dangerous.

OP if you are affraid your battery will drain in 3 days, just unplug it before your leave.
It's a 1 minute job with a spanner. It's enough if you unplug (-)minus wire.

Surely this is a no brainer? If the battery is likely to die after the car lying up for 3 days then it is time to replace it.
