    Hi there.

Am looking for a cyclocross bike that would be capable of doing a trip across Europe this summer.

The ideal bike would have attachments for a carrier at the back but would still be light enough to use as a training/triathlon bike down the line.

A ridley crossbow would probably be ideal.

    I am 5 foot 10 inches.

    Thanks

This Planet X Long John might do the trick.

Ha Niall, this is Michael. I had a look at your ridley there a few weeks back. Great bike by the way, I would def recommend it to anyone out there. Just too big for me. Best of luck

Harry thanks for the reply, bike looks great as well but the large frame would probably be too big for me as well. How tall are you?

    Thanks

Oh, it's not mine. My thoughts on the sizing are way off after reading this:

    Planet X sizing

Hi, The planet x for sale is mine. I'm 6'0" tall. Bike fits me fine and i'd say it's suitable for anyone plus or minus 3 inches.

Thanks but I just don't think I am anywhere near a large frame. Do you know the size of the frame in inches?

    According to planet X website;

Seat tube centre to top is 570mm
    Top tube horizontal is 568mm.
Large size recommended for people of height 5'10" to 6'2"

Thanks for all the help lads, much appreciated. Silver I'd be anxious enough to go large but would love to have a look at the bike. I live in Dublin though, are you up here at all? Thanks again

Hi, I go to Dublin regularly enough. But I'll be in Galway this weekend, I'm free the following weekend and then I'll be on a stag the last weekend in March. I don't mind bringing it up to Liffey Valley especially to meet you. It's only about an hour from home.

Thanks Silver. Unfortunately my plan to risk it with a cyclocross instead of a touring bike has been torn to shreds by a few friends so am now looking for a good touring bike. Sorry about that. GLWS.

this could be a good option, with a drops conversion that would be relatively cheap.

Not my bike by the way...

No Problem, I'm looking into doing something else anyway, maybe building the components up on another frame. Although if someone wants to buy it, I'll still talk to them. Good luck with your search.
