Saorsat on WMC

Just wondering if anyone has managed to get Saorsat working on Windows Media Centre. I can scan in the channels no problem but it refuses to show them saying no signal. I'm thinking it might be a country flag issue like they had before with the "Nigerian" audio or whatever they had.
    Any ideas guys?

I presume you mean on Windows 7 as WMC Vista and WMCE XP are junk.

Yes Win7, although it is still a dog to mess with.

WMC can't tune DVB-S2 unassisted. Hauppauge cards have a patch to allow them to do it, it seems to modify some registry entries to work around the problem. In theory (if you have a Hauppauge card) if you added the fake Ku Saorsat frequency into that key then it might work.

I had no problems with other DVB-S2s (BBCHD CH4 etc). It seems more likely to be something silly like a country flag.

I know WMC is a P.O.S. but it is the only freebie I have found that successfully handles my multi sat and DTT config intelligently. EG selecting whichever tuner is free where channels overlap. If anyone can recommend other software I'm open to options.
