Installed there for my PC and android.

I use dropbox to transfer files between my computer and my Android devices but dropbox is so f slow uploading I hope this is much faster.

Haven't used this or dropbox myself up to now but considering this is free I reckon its worth a trial run at least.

I already have the 50Gb box account from the HP touchpad offer they did a while back. Was doing a transfer yesterday - lots of small files and I was getting a transfer rate of 200 bytes per second. Still a nice freebie.

    Hmmm,

Cant sync with desktop (must pay $15/month for that)
Max file size 100MB (must pay also)

My excitement waned after seeing that....

    bytes!

You can sync it to the desktop by the way - well you can map it as a remote drive. That's how I use it.

are you sure it was Bytes?
    as in a 1024 bytes = kilobyte
    1024 kilobytes = megabyte

because if it is, that be shít ass slow

I am 100% certain - 204 bytes per second according to the windows file transfer dialog. I was uploading a small wordpress plugin with lots of tiny icon files (well under 1Mb) - it took a long time to transfer.

Thanks for the suggestion about adding the network drive, worked perfectly.;)

I just tried uploading a couple of test files and I'm getting upto 17MB/second
uploads to their server through the university connection so the speeds
definitely can be fast. Haven't tried over 3G.

This is **** so far. Say you have a folder than contains many different files well you can't seem to be able to horse it all in like drop box you have to put each file in separately. And via browser on PC the upload process has hung a few times.think I'll Dick to cock box

If you follow the instructions in a post above showing how to map a network drive to box.net, you can drag and drop a folder easily. I have been uploading stuff to it all day through the browser and the drive mapping and it hasn't hung yet.
The upload speeds are brutal though!

Here's a question about box on the touchpad. Seeing as I already have 50 free gigs thanks to the touchpad promotion, if I install Android 4 and download the box app, will I get a further free 45 gigs bringing my account to 95 gigs...?

I'm gaonna give this a go but has anybody else tried this?

Is it just me or has mapping as a remote drive been disabled?
