Hi there,
There is an issue with role permissions that is being worked on at the moment.
If you are having trouble with access or permissions on regional forums please post here to get access: https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058365403/you-do-not-have-permission-for-that#latest

Any ideas what would cause this?

Looks like a blade imbalance or something..... I know the caption says on landing, but if the Jesus nut was loose or there was a cracked blade could it cause this on take off?
    Ground resonance perhaps??

Not ground resonance. I'd say a blade imbalance.

Now i don't know much about helicopters (apart from the fact that they can't actually fly, they just vibrate so much that the ground rejects them:D;):p) But i would have thought that you won't fly very far with a blade imbalance?...

I know it is the Indo, and far be it from me to mention the word 'sensationalism' but i'd doubt very much that this 'rescue helicopter' was out rescuing anyone.

Definitely ground resonance. Blade imbalance wouldn't be that bad unless half of one of the blades had failed and seperated

This report says ground resonance. Will have to wait for the report.

    I think you're both right.
Ground resonance is caused by an out of balance condition.

The heli might have encountered ground resonance after having a blade imbalance and the buffering system in the skids exaggerated problem leading to complete destruction.

Reminds me of the video of the CH-47 test.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Could it be a transmission failure ?

Perhaps a cardan shaft or universal joint coming asunder ?

    Scary to watch !!!

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
