Ladies undercut for long hair

    Quick post -

Contemplating getting an undercut in my hair on one side (a la Alice Dellal). Hair's quite long and I'm a bit nervous about shaving some of it off! Ideally I'd like to be able to do it myself but my gut's telling me to go to someone professional - Does anyone with this hairstyle know any good hairdressers in town that could do this for me? I don't think I'm brave enough to put a razor to my hair on my own!

Help would be much appreciated :)

By town I presume you mean Dublin!

Go for a consultation before you get it done, make sure you get the right hairdresser, and will give you time to think about it.

Try Styleclub on Sth William treet, they do a lot of "fashion" styling. http://www.styleclub.ie/ Or maybe Lunatic Fringe http://www.lunaticfringe.ie/

Really brave style, I love undercuts on girls with long hair, I think it's extremely stylish looking. I'd say for the first time I'd get it professionally done the first time, then when the part being shaped is professionally defined you could keep it shaved by yourself! Good luck!

Although I think this looks pretty cool on the right person, what I always wonder is what you do once you want to grow it out? Do you have hair a few inches long on one side and still long on the other?
