Download Windows Vista?

Hi guys, I need a small bit of help here, I got a laptop from my friend today which he has had for a while as it was bought 2nd hand and it is basically totally corrupted and I want to do a clean install of Vista on it for him. The laptop has no recovery partition and the disks are lost/never received. It is still booting just about and I have recovered the data onto an external hard drive and all I want to do now is format and re-install Windows.

It was running on Vista Business before so this is the key it has, I want to download an .iso image of Vista from a legitimate source and I don't want any warez or cracks as I just want to install back what was on it before without any messing around with it.

Is it possible to download the .iso with SP2 on it already as having to wait hours for SP1 and then SP2 to install afterwards is a nightmare as I have restored a few before and had to do this and it takes almost 5hrs to go from Vista to SP1 and then onto SP2!

    [EDIT] Its 32bit! [/EDIT]

    Thanks for your help!

Not sure about the Vista ISO but the Service Packs can be downloaded from MS without using the Vista update, saves some time.

Yeah I have them and it saves having to download them to each computer each time and it reduces the risk of network timeouts and corrupt installs.

I found what I was looking for here anyway, now to download it!

That's Service Pack 2 not the actual OS.

Only Windows 7 has legitimate iso download links that I know of, as Nothing mentioned above you may be better off buying a copy of Windows 7 than purchasing Vista restore media

in this case, yes I agree. At the very least an upgrade license of windows 7 which you can do a clean install with.
