    Hi there,
I'm a primary school teacher and my school have bought a class set of mac books to be shared around the school. I downloaded some kid friendly apps to the mac book pro and sent them to the rest of the mac books via bluetooth....but they dont work :(
Is it possible to share the apps?
Any recommendations of mac software to use with kids? I think we're going to have to invest in some more stuff as there is not much can be done on them at the moment!
    Thanks!

I suppose if you set up an Apple ID for the School and log into it with each mac you will be able to share the apps purchased on that account.

But I think as an addition to this there is a 5 computer limit to any Apple account? Or am I wrong?

Without knowing the extent of the OPs knowledge of Mac OSX there could be any number of reasons why the apps failed to work. In my experience of new Mac converts the use of downloaded apps can be a tricky concept. For example I know of some users who download the DMG file, mount it and try to use the app from the mounted drive ! And they do this every time they want to use it.

That said, is it possible the OP tried to copy the shortcuts to the other machines which would then have tried to find the original files on the host machine ? Apologies to the OP if I've under estimated his Mac knowledge but without any further info from him/her it's difficult to know !

Were they downloaded via the appstore or otherwise?

You say you downloaded the applications ( DMG's? ) but did you install them. These are MacBooks and do not run apps like iPads ( you have to install not just download ).
