    What is the difference between a DeWalt DE prefix and a DC prefix battery.
    I'm asking because I'm thinking of buying a drill (bare unit) which takes an 18Volt DE9096 battery. I already have 2 18Volt DC9096 batteries and wonder if there is a difference

    I'm pretty sure they're interchangable. One may be 1.7Ah and the other 2.2Ah. Open to correction though.
