Tesco.....pricing error...Clarehall..free dishwasher tablets

Bought some dishwasher tablets today, shelf edge said €4.25, till said €9.50...got double the difference back...shame I had only bought 2 packs

Product: Finish Quantam Powerball 20 tablets....€4.25 on shelf edge.
Store: Clarehall

Balbriggan has them at €9.50 on shelf edge. :-(

Tescos are always doing this, guarantee if you were to go back in now and do a self scanner in the shop to check the price they will be dear, i remember reading how someone bought something like you and told them and kept going back into the store every 30 min and buying the same thing until the 4th time or 2 hours later until it was changed, How much money do you think Tescos have saved by charging people over the top.

aldi or lidl do a dishwasher tablet that is much cheaper than the big brands even when they are on offer. It beat a lot of these brands in a which? magazine testing. Check em out.

Can you point me to somewhere where it clearly states that Tesco gives double the difference if the price is incorrect?

I think it happened to me once, and I didn't get anything , they just adjusted the price. Maybe they did this because I didn't know about this rule :S

Yes Tesco do double the difference back....not as good as Dunnes who refund you the full price. If I see something scanning wrong, I never say it, I just pay for the goods and MARCH straight up to Customer Services for my refund....on occasion I have been known to go purchase multiples of the item that scanned wrong.

I never get this attitude. Those courtesies are there to offer customer peace of mind and also ensure that if it happens, that they are looked after. They are not there to be abused and used as some kind of money making racket. Everybody makes mistakes, even big faceless multinationals and its disappointing that people will deliberately target a place because its made a mistake. When people do this it just ends up with the stores withdrawing the courtesy.

I don't care much for Tesco but I just don't get that attitude.
