Just wanted to share this as I was delighted when I found out I could do it. Bought a new CMax recently with a nice radio, bluetooth, IPod connect etc., so I've long wanted to listen to some UK stations in the car (Radio 1, 5live, talksport) so I got an app called tunein.com on the phone, found these stations (or any radio station in the world) and then using the 3G on the phone opened the app and can stream it through the car radio. It's bloody perfect! I'm easily pleased I guess.

I've been using this for the last year and its a brilliant app. Most stations allow you to choose the data stream you want, and you can go down to 32kbps - its not hifi quality, but its still very acceptable.
I use it probably 20/30 mins a day, 5 days a week, and Ive never gone over my 1GB monthly plan.

Be wary if you're living in a border county though....

Yes it does. Hope you're with 3.
I have musicovery on my phone. It's like an endless playlist of mood music.
So if you set it to Happy/Fast it'll play happy and fast music forever.
Or you can set it to Dark/Fast, Happy/Slow etc etc.

Great when you don't want DJs chatting about nothing on and on and on.

Edit, and it connects with BT to radio.

one of the good things about living in England is that I get BBC4 on FM anyway and I'm a BBC4 fan

Biko, I like the look of that app. A great thing about TuneIn radio is that you can search by genre and there are plenty of stations with no DJs and just music :) I spent a lot of time at Christmas listening to the 'Christmas' stations (not in my car, my phone belongs tot he company...they would kill me if my data allowance was used up by me listening to the radio):)
