    Hi guys,
Sorry for a very specific question, but hopefully some of you have been in a similar position.
I have completed F1-F4 in BPP, however due to financial reasons have decided to try this semester studying from home. I want to do 2 exams but am not sure which ones I should do together, and which you really need to be attending classes for. So my question is which 2 courses, from F5 to F9, is it possible to do from home and which 2 are best combined.

I really would appreciate your help as there does seem to be a lot of conflicting views.

    Thank you!

I would suggest F5 & F8. F5 doesn't really have too much in that is in any way conceptually difficult. For the most part it's just an extension of F2 with more emphasis on theory. And F8 is all theory but it is a fairly large and laborious syllabus. How well you do will be down to you, but I can't really see any reason why you couldn't do both of those.

F9 would also be doable IMO. There's a lot to it but it's not rocket surgery. Whether you pass or not would largely be down to your own work ethic.

Two that I wouldn't personally recommend doing from home study would be F6 & 7. Both are technical papers. I'm not saying you couldn't do it, but I would be of the opinion that they would be markedly more difficult to teach yourself than the others.

I agree, on the F5 and F8. Iv studied these two and F6 by distance. Found F6 to be ok from home, I think once you have all the updates on the syllabus and put the work in, take in a revision course if you can - its really down to the amount of work and time you put in yourself.

What are people's study technique for home study? Simply buy the books and get stuck in or is there any online assistance you use for distance learning? I'm considering doin f4 from home, looked at the Kaplan distant learning but was shocked at the price
