Castle Brand Pots

Does anyone know did Castle Brand only make cooking pots in aluminium or did they also make stainless steel? We have been using a pot for the last 10 years or so which was given to us by a relative who didn't use it. We assumed it was stainless steel as it looks like it and has the weight of stainless steel. On the base it has a castle logo with all the cooking appliances it can be used on and Castle Brand printed on it. It also has 5L D95 on it. I believe the company closed down in recent years so I was wondering does anyone out there know if it's definitely aluminium or could it be stainless steel. Curious.

A 10 year old aluminium pot is unlikely to look anything like Stainless Steel, a brand new one might, dull matt grey v shiny silver. Deep scratches would also suggest Aluminium.
You could try a magnet on it and if it sticks it's most likely ferititic stainless, however most pots are austentitic SS which is not magnetic so it probably won't prove anything. If you can work out the volume and google SS weight and Aluminium weight then multiply Vol x weight, you'll know. Of course the quickest way to be sure is to take it to a NDT company who have a x ray fluorescence meter, but they'll probably charge you.
