    Doing around 200km a day, 4 days a week, just tippin about the rest of the time. I Have between 4-6k to spend. Need something more economical than A 1.4 Mark 5 golf.(which is about 30quid for the 200km, heavy foot). I was thinking 1.9tdi, vw/skoda etc. But open to any suggestion.
    Could prob stetch the budget a bit, we'll say 7000max.

    I would also have a look at a Volvo s40 2.0d it's safe economical comfortable and most of them have leather heated seats ect the only problem I have with them though is that the boot is tiny and the headroom in the back is awful
