I've got a Ross set top box for free to air channels and out of the blue it doesn't work and simply displays 'no programs' Any ideas anyone?

Are all conections still intact? Did you try powering off & on again (at the wall socket)?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/digitaltv/satellite.shtml

"There may be a problem with your equipment
Your satellite dish or the LNB (the device mounted on the arm attached to the dish) may have gone out of alignment"

Your set top box could also be the problem

Can you try another set top box in the same position as the Ross box or can you try your Ross set top box at a different location (possibly a friends or neighbours house).

Before you pull your system apart, just switch it on and see if it works again! We had exactly the same problem this evening - no signal on any channel on both a Humax 5400 and a Humax Foxsat at 8pm. OH was thinking about climbing ladders, changing lnbs tomorrow etc, In the meantime watched a film from pc, switched the sat units on again at 11.15pm, and hey presto... it's working again!!
    What was that about??
