    Hey,

Can anyone suggest where to get a Beetle serviced ?
Don't want to get ripped off by the VW service people. So wondering if anyone knows of somewhere I can bring it to a garage or other type of place to get it done.
Don't want to get screwed over by getting it serviced.

I am based around the Santry area.

    Thanks.
    Ste-.

All garages can service it, just make sure they have a good rep. Its only a golf underneath.

Unless it is the proper Beetle, i.e. with the aircooled engine. But then it is even simpler and your child can service it ;).

If it is a real Beetle (air cooled rear engine) will most likely have points that need replacing & tappets which will need setting... & depending on it's age the drum brakes will not be self adjusting & will have grease nipples on suspension & steering linkages.... oil bath air filter.... etc... would advise taking it to somebody who really understands what's involved in servicing a car.... certainly more involved than modern cars!!!:o

    Pointless rambling much?

Its very unlikely to be a classic beetle.

Yeah sorry guys not the classic model I should have been specific.
    It's an 2004 model.

Any garages around Santry worth a look ?
