    Hi guys.

I'm looking to get a second (freeview) box put in the house, so need to get cables run from the 2 spare "ports" on the lnb into the attic. People are lokoing for silly money to do same, so I was thinking the following....

At the minute, Fatcheese are offering €135 if I sign up for HD through them, and sky are offering an extra €50 cashback on top of that.
I'm currently subscribed to Sky, but my wife isn't.
So is it possible for me to give my 30 days notice today, and sign my wife up as a new customer at the same address? I'd then get Sky to install the new box in the second room, move that box into the living room, and move the current main box into the second room for freeview.

    Thanks.

Freeview is UK DTT not satellite which is either Sky, Freesat or Freesatfromsky (not available in ROI).

    Sorry, meant freesat.

    The rest still stands.

You're not supposed to do it but many have.

I have two subscriptions in the same address. (long story) Because both are multiroom I needed two different phone numbers to register both accounts. As long as they had a phone number not already registered to an account I didn't even get asked about the other subscription. Just got another seperate phone line installed and all was grand.

Because you are looking for a single room installation the phone line may not be an issue if you tell them when ordering. And yes you can then just swap boxes upstairs and downstairs.

I doubt a Sky Installer will go into your attic ,they seem to prefer to wire externally ,however messy it may be.

The rest of your plan sounds good though.
