    Hey,
Im trying to rip a DVD to get rid of the security and burn it again (i.e copy the DVD). Im using "ImTOO DVD Ripper Ultimate 5" which allows me to rip the DVD to two .VOB files, but I am unable to burn these files to be playable in a DVD player (Nero), the error is Im missing the IFO files. I cannot seem to be able to rip a DVD and have the same file layout as the original DVD.
    Any ideas... Thanks...

to get rid of the security

This bit has me stumped. Why do you need to get rid of the security?

Actually theres no security on it, sorry. But as it is in two .VOB files I cannot burn it to play on a DVD player, it doesnt contain IFO files etc which proper DVDs do?

Just found "ImgBurn" that creates an image from the VOB file. Thanks anyway chin_grin..

I assume this is just for you to bypass all the silly things they have stuck on your commercial dvd (no fastforwarding trailers GRRRRRRRRRRRRR... no wonder pirating is rampant)

You could use dvdshrink, you will have to google for it.

Just to remind folks that backing up DVD discs for your own personal use is ok, but bypassing protection measures for any other use is not ok. It would be ok to create a backup of a DVD to use on a ipod/media player etc or to protect your originals, not to share with others etc.
