Problem with BBC Channels on Astra 28.2E

Hi there, was wondering if you guys could help out.

The box I have at home is a Technomate, similar to this: http://www.technomate.com/viewproduct2.php?product=76

With the Satellist dish lined up to Astra 28.2E I've been getting all the regular channels (BBC, ITV etc.) just fine until recently.

Currently every Channel is perfect except for BBC One/Two/Three/News, which will either appear as if they have patchy reception or no signal at all.

I've just rescanned those channels again using the numbers churned out here (and the sticky thread in this forum, same numbers): http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html

Still no luck, the 4 BBC channels are patchy as hell, though the 5-6 BBC Sport Red Button ones are oddly enough all perfect.

Does anybody know what the problem may be?

    Hi PJ,

Those channels are currently all that remain on Astra 2D following the move of the other channels to Astra 1N in the last week. They are due to be moved on Friday when you should get them at full strength again. I can get them today but on slightly reduced signal level on a 1 metre dish.

Ah so come the weekend the signal for those should improve, or I'll need to tune in Astra 1N as well as keeping 2D for all the other channels?

No need to retune as the frequencies currently used on Astra 2D will be the same on Astra 1N. It will all happen by itself.

It's likely that something has happened to your equipment to reduce your signal, maybe your dish has gone out of alignment.

I wouldn't be relying on the stronger signal from 1N to provide trouble free reception in that case.

When did the problems start, did you have trouble with the ITV & C4 channels as well up until around the start of last week?

It's been just the BBC channels, and was a one-off problem in bad weather usually, but now they barely work at all. Every other channel is perfect.

Same down here in the S of France....full signal S and Q but the BBC channels are a bit 'Glitchy'. Hope all will return to normal when they are moved to 1N on Friday.
