Hey guys I've going to buy some hubs to build up some wheels, basically I came find the rims easily on all spoke calculator websites (Mavic a119 and 719)

But i can't find proper information about the hubs online.

Shimano Deore XT-T780 (Front and Rear Hub)

Shimano Tiagra 4600 (130mm OLD Rear Hub)

    and

    Shimano Alivio M430 (Front hub)

I want to buy the spokes off the same site because of shipping costs, I couldn't find the information on the shimano tech-doc site.

Do I have any hope of getting the measurements online or will I just have to pay for the shipping and get them seperately so I can properly measure the hubs?

I've already been on about 6-7 spoke calculator sites including that one looking and could't find them.
There seem to be earlier versions (like the tiagrea 4500 instead of the 4600) but I wouldn't know if there have been changes in sizes so it'd make the previous redudant becuase they'd be the wrong spoke lengths.

I was going to suggest the spoke calculators too but failing that the seller might have the skills in the shop to give you the correct combination given the rim and spoke pattern.

Find the spec/tec documents on the shimano site, they will have measurements.

If you google Shimano hub dimensions an old tech doc should come up, it used to any way but the hubs havent changed in years as far as i'm aware or at least not enough to cause concern so newer hub measurements will do just fine. Edit: just re read post, or older measurements!

Here is the current, I think, Shimano spec sheet, but as you mentioned it doesn't give details for older hubs. That may be a problem for the XT hubs in particular as the ones mentioned might all be disk brake hubs (or not, I haven't checked).

It's a real pain in the neck and I've had the issue myself before. I've found it extremely difficult to find the specs of rims in the past too. And if you want to find out the recommended tension figures for a particular combination of hub, spoke, and rim, then that's often another frustrating process. I think what victorcarrera suggests is worth a try, ask the seller what they would recommend in terms of spoke length.
