Chances of getting work experience for the Summer?

    Hi,
I am a fifth year student and I am interested in going on work experience in a company in the IT industry or even in the IT dept. of any business, as nearly every large company has one. What are the chances of getting employment during this Summer? It also doesn't matter if I get paid or not, if I enjoy what I am doing it doesn't matter. Last summer, I worked as a kitchen porter in a local hotel/restaurant and while the pay was OK and I honestly didn't enjoy any of it, it was just for the money. I also worked for a week in the IT dept. of a large corporation recently as part of my LCVP Work Experience in school, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I've always had an interest in Computers and Tech since I was very young and I already have some experience with Python and Java programming languages, thus my interest in a job in Software. I can disassemble/assemble PC's and/or replace parts in a PC which was one of the roles I had while on work experience for LCVP. It would mean the world to me if I could work for the Summer in an IT environment and see what a career would be like in Software, Hardware jobs be like, as I am still unsure which career path in I.T. to take.

I would really appreciate it if you could give me some insight.

    Regards,
    James.
