Need help re finding files!

My 'Libraries' folder on my laptop had all my folders and files eg my documents, my music etc. Suddennly my Libraries folder is empty and cannot locate where my files have disappeared to. However if I search a particular file the computer manages to find it and the file location in the top box will read that it's in the Libraries folder eg: Libraries-My Documents-Curriculum Vitae. Can anyone help as to how I can restore the files and folders back to the Libraries or any other place in the computer so I can see all my files without having to search them???

Ps: My computer crashed a week ago and I restored it to an earlier time (I think 2 days previous) to fix it. I think this may have been the cause of the files disappearing!

    Any help/suggestions very much appreciated.

What looks like happened is that your machine created a new blank profile. Don't worry your files would still be there.

Try going to C:\users\your username\ and have a look there.

If this is the case, you can actually add the "old" locations to the corresponding library of the new profile, without going through the hassle of copying/moving the files.

Personally, I'm not a fan of "libraries" and have disabled this "feature" entirely.
