mtb: whatever they had in store. Last to the first puncture ;)
Apart from maxxis flyweight or something (can't remember name it was sold with rim tape ultralight stuff) it simply ripped open half way through after 1 or 2 days no more ultra light parts in my mtb wheels since.

That would save a bit of weight gluing an inner tube to tubular wheel :D

It's very good actually. Far better than 99% of Irish people's second languages. Fair play to you.

Last season Tufo S3 Lites on my road bike. 2000 Race only Km's. No problems with them but rear was paper thin so I replaced it with Vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX @ 60 Euro.
Continental sprinters on my TT bike. Very soft compound easily nicked but will last longer because of the lower Km <500Km last season and better road surfaces generally of the TT ccts I do.

Conti sprinters, cause they are cheap and pretty decent

    Veloflex Carbon

The Vittoria Open Corsas are a great tyre but wear very quickly, and are fairly expensive at ~€65

As Diarmo said - Conti Sprinters are cheap and cheerful, but I've heard they're not great in the wet.

I currently have 1 sprinter and 1 vittoria on my wheels. The horror... the horror.

    Where to start...currently running:

    Road/Tri/track:
Tufo S3 - grand but heavy, virtually puncher proof, great life
Vitoria CX - fast, puncture like a bubble, fast :) Life only 1 IM and two HIM on them
Conti podium - nice for indoor boards, less than 5hrs use on them so cant comment on life

    CX:
Dugast Rhino (2sets) - Grip is amazing in slop, terrible on dry, wear out fast
FMB SSC WC edition - amazingly fast, light and supple. Terrible in wet, wear out fast
Challenge Fango's - great in ice or grippy mud, hardwearing
Challenge Griffo's - good on hard rutted courses with no mud, fast, hardwearing
    Vittoria CG - utter s4ite

    MTB:
Tufo XC2 Plus - haven't glued them up yet

And no I do mean MTB tubular.

Would be interested to hear how you get on with the MTB tubs...

Continental Sprinters at the moment. Cheap, fairly rugged, but not the fastest feeling tyres in the world. Don't have latex inner tubes.

Was using Vittoria Corsa CX before that. Beautiful tyres, but prone to puncture I thought and quick wearing. Still tempted to go back.

Will probably give Veloflex Carbon a go next.

I'll let you know, have a set of 29er rims to build up at some stage too. Mostly for CX, but going to try them for MTB also

Was thinking about a set of 29'er Stans rims with tubeless tyres and sealant for the next CX season...should have a bigger braking surface and be slightly wider(and stronger) for mounting tyres etc...

Don't waste your time with tubeless, you cant run low enough pressures. Unless you run heavy duty tires....which defeat the purpose in both weight and suppleness.

still have not used the wheels yet but i ll have a gp4000 on the rear and conti sprinter on the front odd combo i know but will see if it works, thought the gp4000 tub might last a bit longer and have bit better grip in wet than the sprinter, and since its on the rear was thinking this might even the life out the tyres since i wont switch them round mid season as i would clinchers.
