I registered and got a confirmation email. I don't see why it wouldnt go ahead as it's a well run competition and will be hopefully well supported by Irish grapplers.

Registration Closes at: 13 April 2012 12:00 AM Europe/London...so a list of competitors will be availlable after that, along with the start time of each division.

    All the information is there.

Just curious. Are there any female bjj players or is it all guys?

There are some girls, just not very many and from our girl's experience it's very frustrating to register and either get 1 or 0 people to compete against.

Will there be a timetable posted up in advance of the tournament Gus?

    Gus,

Because everyone is pre-registered, can we just show up for our division or do we need to be there earlier?

  • Registered Users Posts: 95 ✭✭gusuk

Cheers for running the event Gus, great to have more opportunities to compete. Have to say I was disappointed to be told the Absolute category's was for medalists only & I wouldn't of hung around for an extra 2 hours if I had of known. Is this the norm in competitions?

    Thanks

I would think so for most comps with big numbers. Was certainly the case at the Irish Open as well.

In general I think it ran relatively smoothly. I only spotted a one or two hiccups in terms of the scoreboard/timing management. 99% of what I saw seemed to go well.
