Students of UL are ambassadors for the University both on and off campus according to the University. What i want to know is when a student of the university seriously assaults another person, why the University takes no action against the perpetrator. *name deleted* assaulted an innocent leaving cert student resulting in serious physical injury and hospitalisation but the University says their hands are tied. This scumbag should be kicked out of the University for good. This could have been so much more serious than two broken jaws as evidenced in this mornings news of a lad dying in Thurles as a result of another unprovoked assault. Its time for the University to show integrity and kick thugs like *name deleted* out.

If you've got information or evidence about an alleged assault, take it to the Gardaí. Don't use this board as a convenient (and inappropriate) naming substitute.
