Hi,

One of my friends told me that FAS said to him that there was a €500 "grant" available to him for education/classes - he even said that this could be put towards driving lessons.

I am currently taking part in a year long course, part of the Springboard initiative. It is an application development course and if I want to develop applications for iOS (Apple) i have to have a Mac of some kind.

Does anyone know if would be eligible for any funding for this?

There are no State grants or payment schemes that would be available for people buy themselves a Mac. You should speak to your course provider about getting adequate access to a Mac if that's required for your course.
