Weekend in Wexford

Hi there, Im looking for some advice re a couple of nights in Wexford.
My husband is taking part in a 10mile run in Enniscorthy on April 1st so we decided to make a weekend of it and go down for 2 nights (Sat and Sun night)-i'll be 8 months pregnant at the time so we won't be going boozing or partying!

He'll be gone for a few hours Sunday morning so we are trying to decide where is best to stay. I'll just want to rest and go for a walk and look around so are we better off staying in Enniscorthy or booking a hotel in Wexford town-is there more to do there?? Or is Enniscorthy a nice town to hang out in for a weekend? Any hotel recommendations (reasonable!) for Enniscorthy if so?

    Thanks a million,
    Caroline

Thanks for that Scaller and Dovies, I had a quick look there and it seems the hotel is booked up for the Saturday night! The run is early on the Sunday morning (10.15am) so maybe it's full of people with the same idea!

You could also try many of the B&B in the area

A lovely hotel on the banks of the Slaney. It is 11 miles from Enniscorthy & 3 from Wexford town.

Thanks all, we ended up booking Whites of Wexford in Wexford town. The hotel looks lovely and I'll get to relax for a few hours while the hubby is off running!

    Thanks,
    Caroline
