Documentary following workers at Rolls-Royce's Derby factory, as they construct the company's Trent 1000 jet engine in preparation for its maiden flight attached to a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The film explores the technology involved in the engine's construction, and charts the ups and downs of working on the factory's assembly line. Narrated by Gerard Fletcher

This was on last year on BBC2, shortly before the Quantas A380s started to have engine problems.

When you see the work that goes into building the aircraft and the quality assurance it's amazing that things could go wrong.

    Well worth watching.

Yes, I'we seen it a while ago on youtube...really interesting and worth the time, didn't knew they had to destroy an engine just for testing :)
