paternity test

I'm pursuing maintenance from the Father of my baby. We met in court last week, for the first time. To delay maintenance, he has requested a Paternity test, I have happily agreed to this and with some haggling over who pays for this, I also agreed to go halves with him - which I think is being more than generous, as he requested it. I have arranged the test and informed his Solicitor of the cost and GP details etc. I have had no correspondence since last wednesday. Bascially, how long should I leave it to get an answer from his solicitor? I'm kinda thinking he may be having second thoughts.
    Thanks.
