Laptop trade-ins

I've done a search and all past threads on this topic say to try adverts.ie. Is there really nowhere in Ireland that does laptop trade-ins? Trading in a phone is no problem. Why won't anywhere accept my old laptop? It's a Samsung R519.

The forum isn't useless it's the question. I doubt whether there is a retailer on the planet who would consider offering a trade in on a laptop unless what they were selling was priced much higher than anywhere else and the additional margin equated to the trade in price plus the cost of disposing of the said laptop.

If the laptop in question is at all usable and you don't want it then sell it.

I know a computer shop in Galway that sells second hand laptops so I assume they buy second hand laptops from trade ins or whatever. Try your local place?
